If you’re concerned about the health of your arteries, TMC offers vascular screening tests performed by our experienced technologists. These screenings are designed to give you peace of mind and valuable information about your vascular health.
Please note: Screenings are not covered by insurance. We offer all three for a total of $30. Self-pay and self-referred screenings are available.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening
Detects the presence of an abdominal aortic aneurysm, a weakening of the wall of the aorta that can lead to serious complications if untreated.

Who:
- Men aged 65–75 who have ever smoked
- Men aged 65–75 who have never smoked—selective screening based on risk factors
- Not routinely recommended for women who have never smoked and have no family history

- Early detection of a weakening in the aortic wall prevents life-threatening rupture
Carotid Artery Duplex Evaluation
Evaluates blood flow to the brain and identifies significant blockages in the carotid arteries, which can increase the risk of stroke.

Who:
- Considered for individuals with multiple cardiovascular risk factors or known vascular disease such as PAD or coronary artery disease
Why:
- Identifies significant carotid blockages that can increase stroke risk, especially in high-risk groups
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Screening
Checks for arterial blockages in the legs that may cause pain, limit mobility, and increase cardiovascular risk.

Who:
- Individuals aged older than 65
- Adults over 50 with diabetes, chronic kidney disease, history of smoking or other cardiovascular disease
Why:
- Detects artery narrowing in the legs, which may cause pain, limit mobility and signal higher risk for heart attack or stroke
How It Works:
- No physician referral is required
- Technologists perform noninvasive ultrasound or blood-pressure–based tests
- You can access your results on MyChart, your patient portal, and a copy of your results will be mailed to you within about a week
- Bring your results to your next doctor’s appointment to discuss any findings
